FOR SALE: ADIC Scalar AIT 480 tape library

Tested and works fine. Includes the following:

  • Library chassis, holds up to 4 drives and 80 slots
  • 2 AIT-2 drives (1 is bad, but must be present for the library to function)
  • 5 slot cassettes (10 slots each, library holds up to 8)
  • Adaptec 2940U2W LVD SCSI card (PCI interface)
  • 36 AIT-2 tapes, 50GB capacity uncompressed each. Each tape was individually loaded and erased, so they all seem to be good.
  • 1 cleaning tape
  • SCSI cable, terminator, and jumpers
  • Instruction manual, key, power cord
  • Dimensions: 17"w, 26"d, 21"h - yes it is rack mountable
  • Weight: heavy

    No longer needed, as my backup strategy has moved onto bigger and better things, and I'm tired of walking around it in my garage.

    Located in Monroe (98272) and would prefer a pickup but I can muscle it into my car and take it to campus and you can retrieve it from RedW/E.
