Lamune and the princesses are traveling through the desert. Everyone
complains about the heat, especially Milk, who begins screaming for ice
cream. Cocoa mentions that they are near Kankan Village, so they land and
head to get some ice cream. They find the town almost totally deserted,
and step into a restaurant. Milk doesn't find ice cream, but boiling hot
nabeyaki udon being cooked. Shortly thereafter, they notice that every
building is cooking the same stuff. The villaigers return, dressed like
it's the middle of winter in antarctica. Cocoa passes out from the heat,
and she's taken inside the home of Nanten, one of the cute girls in the
village. She returns with steaming hot beverages for them all. We then
are treated to Kokuten's palace, where the villagers are lined up. They
give him a taste of their nabeyaki udon and he gives them a bucket of water.
If the (stuff) isn't to his liking, the villager gets stuck with a burning
hot backpack and sent fleeing. Alternatively, they're set on fire with
the burning power of his evil ring. Da Cider and Lesuka are nearby, enjoying
the heat like it's a day at the beach. Da Cider is in swim trunks and Lesuka
is enjoying a bathtub full of cool water. Back in the village, Lamune notices
the poor slob with the hot backpack. Nanten tells Lamune about the evil
Kokuten. Lamune offers to help. Lamune decides to power up by eating the
nabeyaki udon but is instantly tired by the hot sun. Lamune and crew head
off to Kokuten's palace. Lamune and Da Cider begin to battle, and Da Cider
slaps him with several hundred of Don Harumage's Special Hot Spice Packets.
Lamune begins to cook, but has an idea. He does an Astro Spin on himself
and the packets spin off. He then spins Da Cider into the steaming hot
water inside Kokuten's Palace. Kokuten releases his hidden Monskar, and
Lamune does the same with King Sccasher. The already unbearable heat is
made worse by the fire breathing monskar. Lamune calls Ceylorm to help.
Ceylorm holds the monskar while Lamune gives it the Saint Bomb. The monskar
powers up and digs into the ground, burying Ceylorm and attacking King
Sccasher from behind. Now the monskar has the upper hand and begins blasting
King Sccasher with fire. Lamune concludes that the heat should actually
bring his hot blood up, and gets pissed off. He confuses Kokuten and manages
to damage the monskar. Lamune transforms King Sccasher and destroys the
monskar. It begins to rain, and Don Harumage's spell over Kokuten is broken.
Da Cider and Lesuka return for their punishment; Da Cider gets boiled in
water, and Lesuka is used as an incense holder. Lamune and company head
off. Milk has a dish of ice cream, and Cocoa announces that she cooked
a meal. She arrives with a pot full of nabeyaki udon, and Lamune begins
screaming.
'Kokuten' means 'sunspot'.
Nabeyaki udon is a noodle dish served very hot. It is a common wintertime
food. Literaly, it's "grilled pot noodles".
