Czar Master punished V-Darn and V-Sion for their failure. They promise that they'll obtain GAIA, and he gives them another chance.

Everyone is riding on Kairei-Oh's back, as they fly to Bud's village, nestled on top of a tall mountain. Wan's main concern is food, and Mei Mah's concern is courtesy. When they get there, Bud's grandfather, Chief Kiusu Mint, welcomes Bud back as the hero of the Bird Tribe, and considers Wan and the others Bud's "servants". He orders a festival for Bud's return.

During the festival, Yuuni tries to feed Bud worms, while the others ask Kiusu if he's seen the symbol of GAIA. He says that he's seen it over by a lake, near a village. They agree to journey there, but Kiusu tells them that he won't let Bud go on such a dangerous mission. Bud agrees, figuring that fighting the humans doesn't agree with the life he has at home. So they leave without him.

V-Darn and V-Sion arrive outside the Bird Tribe's village, where they quietly wait for the Beasts to lead them to GAIA.

The next morning, they set off to find GAIA, riding on Kairei-Oh. After one day and one night, they arrive at the lake. Wan cheers that the treasure is nearby. But when he gets there, he finds out that the village belongs to the Dog Tribe. He tries to sneak away to go home, but Mekka stops him. They decide to search for the symbol, but find it all over the ruins which surround the village. Akumako is spying, and sees this also.

While sleeping by the lake, Yuuni's crystal ball glows, and she goes into a trance. She walks towards the lake, but steps on Wan's tail, waking him up. She stops at the edge of the lake, and the ball sends a beam of light bouncing off of the symbols, into the lake, where a huge symbol of GAIA appears. Everyone finds out that GAIA is in the lake, including Akumako, who can't wait for the killing to start.

Mei Mah is asked to go and search, but she doesn't feel like it, so Wan tosses a piece of hot fruit into her mouth. She cries, and changes into a mermaid. Wan smiles, but Mei Mah slaps him with her tail. She then decides to enter the lake with Kairei-Oh. Wan decides that instead of waiting for her, that they should go to sleep. However, Wan is stopped by an energy blast right in front of him. V-Darn and V-Sion appear on the cliff above. The action temporarily takes a break, when Wan forgets their names, but after that, V-Darn and V-Sion start blasting Wan, Mekka, and Yuuni, who are still on the shore.

Back at the Bird Tribe, Bud is lying back, when his Jinn's Heart glows, and Kurei-Oh roars. Bud wonders what has happenned to them, but tries to put it aside, saying "I have nothing to do with it." He can't put it aside.

Meanwhile, Mekka, Yuuni and Wan are running from V-Darn's electricity. Wan trips, and is about to be hit, when Chirei-Oh comes and blocks the blow with its body. V-Darn recites a spell, which wakes up the Dog Tribe's Jinn, Garei-Oh (Fang Lord), which is 50 times larger than Chirei-Oh. The Dogs think they have a new weapon to fight the humans, but it tries to step on them. They all run away with their tails between their legs. Wan yells at them, calling them cowards, but he sees Garei-Oh, and gets a little worried.

Mei Mah uses Kairei-Oh to clear away some rocks, and sees something glowing underwater.

Wan and Chirei-Oh get trashed. Garei-Oh grabs Chirei-Oh in it's jaws, and pins Wan with its giant foot. V-Darn jokes cruelly with him, as Wan is slowly crushed, but suddenly Kurei-Oh flies in, and bashes Garei-Oh into the cliffside. Kurei-Oh comes in for another attack, but gets hit with Garei-Oh's tail, and is thrown. Chirei-Oh helps out, and Kurei-Oh takes to the air again. Wan tries another attack, and is thrown into the water, just as Mei Mah comes up, to tell them that she's found it. He almost drowns, but Kairei-Oh saves him. They get together to fight. With the three Jinn, they destroy Garei-Oh. V-Darn and V-Sion order a retreat.

Just then, a crack in the cliffside breaks open, and the lake empties out, revealing the ruins of GAIA.
